Exceptionally effective supplementary heat
We purchased two of these as a way of minimizing use of central heating in our big old house and we've been delighted with them. The oil holds heat for a very long time once it gets hot, and we've been able to reduce the thermostat setting by just placing these in the rooms we're using at the time. To our surprise there was a smaller impact on the electric bill than we expected, but a big drop in our oil use. Not bad for a space heater
We bought two Delonghi TRD715T heaters to use as supplemental heating to our oil. We put one in our 2 year old son's room and one in the living room. The three power settings are great for finding a good performance level without using the full 1500w most other heaters use, saving a lot on electricity. If I turn on the heater about 30 minutes before my son goes to sleep, it keeps his room at a nice temperature for cold nights. As others have said, it takes a little while to get up to operati...

Wonderful
Yes, it smells funny when you first start using it, however after the initial break in period, it has worked wonderfully ever since. The timer on it is a wonderful feature, as when I get home the room is all warmed up for me already. I am very happy with this product.
